This past week I've had the privlege to hang out with some of the coolest people on earth. Some of which were AJ Rafael, Andrew Rhim, and Noah Bartfield. All I gotta say is that they live and love music, and I admire how much fun they're having on AND off the stage. Last friday they had a concert in Texas... and bess believe it was one of the best performances I've ever seen. The stage presence was amazing, the crowd participation was roaring, and it brought me back to the reason why I love AJ Rafael's music. I know you probably already saw his latest video, but if you didn't... here's an exclusive Wong Fu Production:
I got loose with some lowrider style striping the other day, white stripes on white pearl always looks badass I bought a wooden machinist tool box for the purpose of assembling a small travel tattoo kit. I laid out some old school style lettering on it to give it some character... I also did this lil piece on one of the back doors of the shop...the logo is ripped from the Studio 1 recording studio in Jamaica that was famous for reggae jams. We are BIG reggae and dancehall fans at the shop...One Love.
...I love to do lettering, and I really like when I can incorporate it in a larger design. Lettering and scrolling banners added to almost any design makes it look sick! ...this "Carpe Diem" script is in a unique location... ...can't go wrong with getting your last name stacked down the back of your arm for that wicked gangster look. And that's on a girl too!
It's been a bit since I've posted...life has been crazy for the last month..still crazy..but I managed to take a lil time to update this blog. Lots of tatty work being done, along with paintwork and digital design. Here's some recent stuff... "Faith" above the ass...
...a nasty skull ...a lovely Mary ...and some beautiful flowers.
Gallery Nucleus is my favorite art gallery. It's probly due to it being so AMAZZING alllll the time. Like the last show was based on Alice in Wonderland, and was hella trippy. Now this one is based on FASHION. I wanted to write my own little synopsis on it. But I just copy and pasted it from Nucleus. The Nucleus description of the show will make you go... I bet you 5 bucks you'll go!!! Watch...

Artistic representation of fashion has existed since the dawn of civilization. From the statues of Mesopotamia, the walls of Egyptian pyramids, the master paintings of the Renaissance, the cover of Vogue's first issue in 1892, and through today, artists have continued to carefully document fashion of the period. Gallery Nucleus is therefore proud to present our first fashion illustration exhibition.
We are privileged to have an international roster featuring established as well as emerging contemporary fashion illustrators. Exhibiting artists working in a variety of mediums from paint, watercolor, ink, textiles and digital media. These artists have worked with designers such as Dior, Jean-Paul Gualtier, and Marc Jacobs just to name a few. They have graced the pages of publications including, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Nylon and many more. We are pleased to showcase the ever expanding world of fashion illustration that represents the latest trends of our time and captivates the greatest styles that will last forever.
